Tata Motors is getting ready to expand its electric SUV line-up in 2026, and the Tata Sierra EV will be an important part of this plan. The upcoming electric SUV is expected to share major technology elements with the Harrier EV, helping Tata deliver long range, advanced features and a familiar driving experience.

Tata Sierra EV launch date is expected in early 2026. Tata has already confirmed the Sierra EV as one of its upcoming electric cars, along with the Punch EV facelift and the Avinya-based EV. Test cars have been spotted on Indian roads, showing that the SUV is in the final testing phase. Launch date will be revealed soon.

Tata Sierra EV is likely to use the same Gen 2 EV platform as the Harrier EV. This means better battery placement, improved efficiency and stronger performance. Sharing the platform will also help Tata bring the Sierra EV to market faster.

The electric Sierra is expected to use the same battery options as the Harrier EV. With the larger battery, the Tata Sierra EV range could go beyond 500 km on a single charge. Fast charging support is also expected for quick top-ups.

The Sierra EV will keep its boxy and iconic shape but will get EV-specific design changes. These may include a closed front grille, a full-width LED DRL, split headlamps and a redesigned bumper. Flush door handles, new alloy wheels and connected LED tail-lamps are also expected.

Inside, the Sierra EV will focus heavily on technology. It is expected to get a triple-screen dashboard, premium materials and ambient lighting. Tata Sierra EV features details may include Level 2 ADAS, connected car tech, a premium sound system, powered seats and strong safety features.

Tata Sierra EV price is expected to be positioned above the Curvv EV and close to the Harrier EV. Tata Sierra EV has an expected ex-showroom price in India ranging from Rs 18 lakh to Rs 25 lakh, depending on the variant.

By sharing technology with the Harrier EV, Tata can offer a more reliable and advanced electric SUV. With growing demand for premium EVs in India, the Sierra EV could become one of Tata’s most important launches in 2026.
