Mr. Ratan Tata rides the custom-built 72V Nano EV

It was the vision of Mr. Ratan tata to bring a affordable car in indian market that came at the cost of a bike and as all know it was Tata NANO. It did sustained in indian market for quite a few years but over the time Tata had to discontinue it in 2019 due to poor sales response while another factor was the cost to upgrade the model to comply with the new crash test norms.

But it seems that it is still very much alive in the form of EV. Some weeks back Mr. Ratan tata had a ride in the custom built Tata 72V Nano EV, powered by the engineering might of Electra EV’s powertrain. Electra EV is founded by Mr. Ratan Tata.

On their LinkedIn page, the company had shared the below post, in which they mentioned about how they gained insights from his invaluable feedback for Mr. Ratan Tata.

We hope to see Tata NANO to come to life again, even though it didn’t work out for them last time.

But we loved Mr. Tata’s vision behind it to make cars affordable for the common middle class man and so that he don’t have to risk his family’s life by riding 3 pavellione on one bike. We are hoping we see the production model soon in market.
