MG Majestor Spied in Final Testing Phase Ahead of Launch – CarWale

MG Motor India’s upcoming flagship SUV, the Majestor, has been spotted undergoing its final phase of testing ahead of its expected launch in February 2026. The latest spy images reveal a near-production test mule, suggesting that the model is in the closing stages of development. Despite the camouflage, the SUV’s imposing road presence is evident, reinforcing its positioning as the brand’s new top-of-the-line offering for the Indian market.
From the images, the MG Majestor features a bold front fascia with a large upright grille, slim LED daytime running lights, and vertically stacked headlamp units. The test car also sports chunky alloy wheels, prominent wheel arch cladding, side steps, and roof rails, all of which add to its rugged SUV appeal. At the rear, connected LED tail-lamps and a wide tailgate design further underline its premium intent, clearly differentiating it from the Gloster sold in India.
Mechanically, the Majestor is expected to be based on the same ladder-frame architecture as the Gloster, with power likely to come from the familiar 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing around 213 bhp and 478 Nm of torque. This motor is expected to be paired with an automatic gearbox and offered with a four-wheel-drive system. Once launched, the Majestor will sit above the Gloster in MG’s SUV line-up, with prices slated to be announced next month.
