2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE400e 4Matic launched in Malaysia – new PHEV variant, CKD, from RM499k – AutoBuzz.my
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has launched the new Mercedes-Benz GLE400e 4Matic, priced at RM498,888 on the road without insurance. Locally assembled (CKD) in Malaysia, this marks the introduction of a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain for the GLE in the country — putting it more in line with its key rivals.
The new Mercedes-Benz GLE400e 4Matic is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 252 hp and 400 Nm. This is paired with an electric motor generating 156 hp and 440 Nm, allowing for a total system output of 381 hp and 650 Nm.
Power is sent to all four wheels through the marque’s 4Matic all-wheel drive system and a nine-speed 9G-Tronic automatic transmission. As a result, the GLE400e accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 210 km/h.
Thanks to it being a PHEV, the GLE400e can travel up to 114 km under the WLTP test cycle. To charge it up, the car supports up to 11 kW of AC charging and can be done so via a wallbox charger or the portable charger provided.

As part of the new GLE facelift, it sports new front headlights with daytime-running light designs and new taillights that no longer feature the triangular light signatures. Fitted with the AMG Line exterior package as standard, it features a sportier bumper design, a new diamond pin front grille, and chrome trim around the side. Standard exterior equipment are as such:

Moving inside, the GLE400e features Mercedes-Benz’s new generation of multi-function steering wheel with touch controls. This is accompanied by dual 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and central infotainment display. They run on Mercedes-Benz’s MBUX system and support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Standard features of the car’s interior are as follows:

The Mercedes-Benz GLE400e 4Matic is available in 3 colour choices: Obsidian black, Selenite grey, High-tech silver, and Manufacktur Opalite white — the latter available with a surcharge. The car is priced from RM498,888 on the road, without insurance and is inclusive of a four-year unlimited mileage warranty and an eight-year warranty for the battery.
