Here’s a look at the top upcoming electric SUVs set to launch soon.
Mahindra XEV 9S is one of the most awaited new electric SUVs, making its India debut tomorrow, November 27, 2025, at Mahindra’s Scream Electric event in Bengaluru. It will be Mahindra’s first 7-seater electric SUV and is built on the modern INGLO platform. Designed as the EV version of the XUV700, the XEV 9S is expected to be priced under Rs 30 lakh.
Mahindra has teased several premium features, including a large boot, functional frunk, rear entertainment screens, BYOD support, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, multi-zone climate control, and a Dolby-enabled audio system. With an expected real-world range of over 500 km, the Mahindra XEV 9S is shaping up to be one of the biggest EV launches of the year.
Maruti Suzuki is finally entering the EV space with its first fully electric SUV – the Maruti e Vitara. Scheduled to launch on December 2 through Nexa dealerships, the e Vitara will be offered with two battery options – 49 kWh and 61 kWh.
Designed to compete with the Tata Nexon EV and MG ZS EV, the Maruti e Vitara promises a practical driving range, modern features and a premium feel at a more affordable price point. It marks Maruti’s big step into the new electric SUVs category in India.
Tata Motors has just launched the Tata Sierra ICE at Rs 11.49 lakh, revealing three engine options, a premium interior and a total of seven trims. After the successful ICE launch, Tata is now preparing to introduce the Tata Sierra EV, making it one of the most exciting upcoming electric SUVs.
The electric version is expected to offer a 450–500 km range, a triple-screen dashboard and a futuristic cabin layout. With its blend of retro charm and modern design, the Tata Sierra EV will take on rivals like the Hyundai Creta EV and Mahindra BE.6.
