Double delight as Qashqai and Juke both included in 2025 best-sellers list – Nissan Insider

The annual Christmas and New Year celebrations may be over for another year – but the good times for Nissan in the UK continue apace.
Statistics just published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders have revealed that its two British-built models – Qashqai and Juke – ended the year among the UK’s top five best-selling new cars.
Qashqai secured third place in the league table with 41,141 units sold; while Juke claimed fifth spot with 34,773 buyers driving brand new examples away from dealer forecourts.
Not surprisingly, Nissan’s UK chiefs are delighted by the sales successes which provide proof, if proof were needed, of the carmaker’s enduring place in the hearts of the British motoring public.
James Taylor, Managing Director, Nissan GB, said: ‘‘It’s great to see our British-built crossovers retaining their place among the nation’s favourite cars of 2025.
“It’s a great platform for success in 2026 too, which starts with the launch of our new Micra and LEAF electric cars in the coming weeks and continues later this year with the new Juke EV and a compact city car.”
Qashqai has proven astoundingly popular since the first version was launched almost 20 years ago – and the introduction of the latest version of Nissan’s e-POWER technology to the current model line-up has only served to enhance its appeal still further.
Thanks to e-POWER, drivers can enjoy an EV-like motoring experience because Qashqai’s wheels are driven solely by an electric motor whilst a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine is purely used to generate electricity. It’s a set-up that delivers instant response and smooth, linear acceleration.
The recent updates to e-POWER give customers an even more electrified feel behind the wheel, with major improvements across every key area – most importantly perhaps, with fuel economy of up to 62mpg.
Juke has not been resting on its laurels either. Nissan’s designers and engineers recently made significant changes to the car’s interior, which now features a redesigned centre console and instrument panel to elevate the ambience of life on-board.
The cabin also benefits from new materials, trim and upgraded fit and finish. And the car’s connectivity has been updated with a larger touchscreen and additional features.
Meanwhile, Nissan’s electric model line-up will be further strengthened in 2026 with the arrival of the new LEAF – production of which has just started in Sunderland.
Building new LEAF in the UK represents an investment of £450m by Nissan across its operations and supply chain and marks the return of the car that pioneered mass EV production more than a decade ago.
And then there’s Micra. Fully electric, compact in size and confident in spirit, the sixth generation of the iconic model – arriving in Nissan’s showrooms across the UK shortly – showcases how responsive handling, intuitive technology and clever design come together to bring everyday all-electric driving to life in an easy way.
