Full list of 2025 F1 cars and livery revealed so far – Metro.co.uk
With just a month to go before the season opening race, Formula 1 teams have begun unveiling their 2025 cars.
Following a dramatic 2024, we could be set for one of the closest F1 title fights in history with McLaren, Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes all vying to cross the finish line first.
As ever, there is much anticipation surrounding the look of each new car and livery, with Lando Norris’ McLaren the first to unveil their machine.
Every 2025 livery was revealed at the F1 75 launch show in London but several teams are yet to unveil their new car for this season.
Here’s all the liveries and the remaining car launch dates ahead of pre-season testing:
McLaren
On February 13, reigning constructors’ champions McLaren unexpectedly became the first team to reveal their 2025 car, the MCL39.
Championship favourite Norris and Oscar Piastri gave their new set of wheels a shakedown at Silverstone in a promotional filming day.
The car sported a one-off, geometric camo papaya and black livery before McLaren revealed their official 2025 livery at F1 75 – which looks very similar to their 2024 colours.
Ferrari
A day after the livery was revealed at F1 75, we got the first glimpse of the SF-25 – the first Ferrari F1 car to be driven by Sir Lewis Hamilton.
The seven-time champion and Charles Leclerc gave the red and white machine a spin at the Fiorano test track.
Red Bull
Surprise, surprise, Red Bull’s livery looks exactly the same with the team infamously using the some colours every year since their debut in 2005.
Max Verstappen won’t mind as long as the RB21 is quick and it has been confirmed that Red Bull won’t have their own car launch and the new car will instead break cover on the eve of pre-season testing.
Mercedes
The W16 is the first Mercedes since 2012 not be driven by Hamilton and sports a very similar livery to last year’s outing.
George Russell and co. have stuck to the striking silver and black design with hints of green included as a nod to title sponsor Petronas. However, fans were quick to spot that the red INEOS logo was absent amid reports Sir Jim Ratcliffe was pulling his sponsorship.
Aston Martin
Aston Martin’s AMR25 once again sports British Racing Green in a livery said to be inspired by James Bond.
While not designed by Adrian Newey, the design genius will no doubt make modifications once he begins work in March.
Alpine
Alpine’s 2025 livery is a big improvement on their 2024 design, with less exposed carbon and a better mix of blue and pink, but the French team will just hope the A525 can go a lot quicker.
Haas
British rookie Oliver Bearman will make his full F1 debut with Haas who have stuck with the white, black and red paintwork for their VF-25.
This year’s car, which was driven at Silverstone for the first time last week, also sports a big USA flag on the front in case you forgot that they’re currently the only American team in F1.
Racing Bulls
Red Bull’s junior team have undergone another rebrand this year, changing name from RB to Racing Bulls.
There’s been a change in livery as well with the VCARB 02 covered in a nearly all-white design which many fans have quickly dubbed the best livery on the grid.
Williams
Rather romantically, Williams launched their FW47 on Valentine’s Day in a neat, one-off blue and black livery before their official colours were revealed – though there’s not too much of a difference to be honest.
Carlos Sainz, who has signed from Ferrari, gave the new Williams its first run at Silverstone, and he’ll certainly be hoping this is the car that can propel the British team back to winning ways.
Sauber
The last Sauber F1 car before Audi takeover in 2026, it’s no surprise the Swiss team have stuck with their neon-green and black colours, though the dseign is not as striking as last year’s entry.
F1 pre-season testing will be held at the Bahrain International Circuit from February 26-28 and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
The 2025 F1 season gets underway on the weekend of March 14-16 with the Australian Grand Prix and concludes 24 races later with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on December 5-7. The British Grand Prix at Silverstone takes place on July 4-6.
