Here's A Look At The Upcoming Cars To Look Out For In August 2025 – ZigWheels.com

August 2025 is shaping up to be another action-packed month for car enthusiasts in India. After July’s mix of facelifts, premium EVs, and headline-grabbing launches, August is set to bring its own share of buzz. This includes the debut of an all-new EV brand, mid-cycle refreshes, and Mahindra’s bold vision for its electric future. Here’s what’s everything lined up for the August 2025:
Launch Date: August 1, 2025
In the first quarter of this year, Volvo unveiled the facelifted XC60, which is all set to launch in India at the beginning of August. It features refreshed styling, including a revised front grille, new bumper detailing, updated LED lights, and reworked tail-lamps. The updated design gives it a more aggressive look and boosts its overall appeal. Volvo will also be offering the Mulberry Red shade with the XC60 for the first time, although the full list of colour options for India is yet to be confirmed.

Inside, the XC60 retains its clean and minimalist layout. Feature highlights include an 11.2-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a premium Bowers & Wilkins sound system, and a full suite of ADAS features. Under the hood, the XC60 is expected to continue with the 250 PS 2-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine. Prices are expected to start at around Rs 72 lakh (ex-showroom).
Launch Date: August 12, 2025
Following its global debut, Mercedes will introduce the AMG CLE 53 Coupe in India this August. It features AMG-specific styling cues such as the Panamericana grille, flared arches, and quad exhaust setup to enhance its appearance. Under the hood the CLE 53 is powered by a 3.0-litre inline-six turbo-petrol engine paired with a mild-hybrid setup, producing 449 PS and 560 Nm.

It also gets all-wheel drive, and sprints 0-100 kmph in 4.2 seconds. Inside, the cabin comes equipped with AMG sports seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and red contrast stitching. Feature highlights include a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, an 11.9-inch infotainment system, ambient lighting, and wireless smartphone integration. Expect a price tag of Rs 2 crore (ex-showroom).
 Launch Timeline: Mid-August 2025
Vietnamese carmaker VinFast will officially start its Indian innings with the launch of the VF7 electric SUV. First showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, the VF7 stands out with its futuristic design and will be brought to India as a CKD unit. It’s available in six colour options globally, including shades like Urban Mint and Crimson Red.

Step inside, and the VF7 features a dual-tone black and tan interior that gives off a premium vibe. Key features include a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, and a suite of ADAS technologies. Globally, it’s powered by a 70.8 kWh battery pack and is offered with both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive setups. However, the exact specifications for the India-spec model are yet to be revealed.
Expected Launch Timeline: End of August 2025
Following the launch of the Triber facelift, Renault may bring in the Kiger facelift with a mid-life refresh. While camouflaged test mules have been spotted, the final model is expected to carry revised front and rear bumpers, a new grille, updated LED DRLs, and fresh alloy wheels.

Inside, the dashboard design may remain the same, but feature additions could include six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and new safety tech. The engine options will likely remain unchanged, including the 72 PS 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 100 PS 1-litre turbo-petrol. Transmission options including 5-speed manual, AMT and CVT automatic gearbox is also expected to be carried forward. Expect a starting price tag of Rs 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
Mahindra is all set to take the wraps off not one, but four bold all-electric SUV concepts this Independence Day. The Vision lineup, comprising of the Vision S, SXT, T, and X, gives an early look at Mahindra’s future EV design direction. The Vision S is expected to feature a wide, futuristic front profile that draws inspiration from the Scorpio’s bold stance.

Building on that, the Vision SXT introduces a redesigned front fascia, a more upright silhouette, and chunkier wheel arches, giving it a tougher, adventure-ready appearance. The Vision T stands out with its boxy proportions and flat body panels, and is likely a preview of the next-gen electric Thar, taking cues from the earlier Thar.e concept.

Meanwhile, the Vision X adopts a smoother, coupe-like design with a flowing roofline and minimalistic details, suggesting it could be positioned as Mahindra’s future flagship electric SUV with a focus on urban use.

While Mahindra has kept technical specifications and interior details under wraps, these exterior previews offer a glimpse into the varied styling direction the brand is taking with its next-gen electric lineup.
On the inside, all four Vision concepts are expected to follow a minimalist, tech-forward theme with large screens, and sustainable materials. While Mahindra has not revealed detailed interiors yet, the teasers suggest a clean dashboard layout, ambient lighting, and EV-specific touches like floating centre consoles and interactive displays tailored to each SUV’s intended purpose.
