India’s automotive scene is gearing up for a loaded July, with several new launches slated to arrive this month. Leading the charge are two electric MPVs—the Kia Carens Clavis EV and the MG M9—alongside the updated BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe. Among these, the Mahindra XUV 3XO’s update is also drawing attention.
Kia Carens Clavis EV – 15 July
Kia plans to launch the Carens Clavis EV on 15 July. This electric MPV is a direct EV conversion of the ICE-powered Carens Clavis, and will carry over its sibling’s styling and cabin layout. Underneath, it’s expected to share the Hyundai Creta Electric‘s powertrain, offering two battery options (42 kWh and 51.4 kWh) and a front-mounted motor. This will make it the second mass-market electric MPV available in India, following the BYD eMax 7.
BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe
The revamped BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, originally launched globally in late 2024, is set to launch in India in the second half of July. The updates to this luxury sedan include sharper styling, sportier body, and a curved interior display, aligned with BMW’s current design language. It’s expected to arrive with a downsized, 1.5‑litre turbo‑petrol engine, likely priced between Rs. 45-47 lakh (ex-showroom).
MG M9
MG’s full-size electric MPV, the M9, is expected by the end of this month. Under the floor will be a 90 kWh battery paired with a 245bhp, front-mounted electric motor, with a claimed range of 548km on a single charge. Highlights include second-row lounge seats with heating, ventilation, massage function, Level 2 ADAS, split sunroof, and a large touchscreen. It’s will be positioned to rival the Kia Carnival, with prices projected between Rs. 65–70 lakh.
Updated Mahindra XUV 3XO
Mahindra will refresh the XUV 3XO in the coming weeks by introducing new variants and features to the existing lineup. The changes are likely to focus on improving accessibility rather than altering mechanics or design.
