Mahindra XEV 9S to be Launched in India Tomorrow – CarWale

The Mahindra XEV 9S three-row electric SUV will be launched in India tomorrow. This is the Indian automaker’s first-ever three-row EV, and is essentially an electric version of the XUV700, the latter of which is set to get a facelift in January 2026.
Multiple teaser images reveal the XUV700 shape with the XEV 9e’s face, Harman Kardon sound system, five-screen layout for the first and second rows, all-black cabin, pop-out door handles, full-LED light package, controllable ambient lighting, powered tailgate, and a panoramic sunroof.
The XEV 9S, essentially based on the INGLO skateboard, will get the same powertrain as the XEV 9e and the BE 6 – 59kWh and 79kWh units paired with a 282bhp RWD motor – with a range of 500km-550km. Standard features are expected to include Level 2 ADAS, connected car technology, powered rear seats, powered tailgate, and a full-LED light package.
The XEV 9S is a crucial car for the automaker, as it will be their step into the big EV league. The upcoming eSUV will go head-to-head with the Tata Harrier EV and the BYD eMax 7 in the Rs. 21-30 lakh price range.
