Tata Avinya EV to Launch by the End of 2026 – CarWale

Tata Motors is gearing up to introduce its futuristic Avinya electric vehicle in India by the end of 2026, signalling a major push into premium electric mobility ahead of several rivals. The model, previewed through concept showcases and industry teasers, is part of Tata’s strategy to redefine EV design and technology for the domestic market.
The Avinya will be underpinned by Tata’s all-new Gen 3 EV architecture, a dedicated skateboard-style platform created specifically for battery-electric vehicles. This architecture is engineered to support long-range performance, rapid charging capability, and high levels of software integration, while delivering improved structural efficiency and flexible component packaging.
Inside, the Avinya is expected to feature a clean, minimalist cabin with a lounge-like ambience and a flat floor that maximises usable space. Sustainable materials and a clutter-free layout are set to be core design principles, with Tata prioritising comfort and a premium experience over traditional SUV or MPV conventions.
Furthermore, the automaker is set to launch five new EV nameplates by FY2030. Meanwhile, the Sierra EV, along with the new Punch EV, are set to debut at the start of 2026. Notably, the Avinya will be sold as a separate brand with a dedicated sales channel, and Tata is also considering a phygital retail approach. With its advanced EV platform and user-centric interior, the Avinya is poised to compete in India’s rapidly evolving electric vehicle segment when it arrives by late 2026.
