Tata Sierra EV Confirmed for 2026 – CarWale

It’s official, the Tata Sierra EV will be launched in CY26. The automaker had announced an event to announce the sale of one lakh Nexon EVs, as well as to announce its EV roadmap till 2027.
Given Tata’s launch strategies so far, the Sierra EV was expected to arrive before the ICE range, but now it’s going to happen the other way. Apart from a few spy shots, details are still scarce about the electric SUV, but it is expected to share its powertrains, underpinnings, and feature list with the Curvv EV, but will be positioned above it. The spy images reveal the same design as the ICE model (including the iconic Alpine Glass Roof).
This will be Tata’s seventh EV in its lineup, giving it the largest electric offensive, surpassing even some dedicated BEV automakers in the market. It currently sells electric versions of the Tiago, Tigor, Punch, Nexon, Curvv, Harrier, and now the Sierra too. Among these, the Punch EV has been confirmed for a facelift in CY26.
This will be a crucial EV for Tata as it will be their rival to the Creta Electric, Carens Clavis EV, MG ZS EV, Mahindra BE 6, Maruti e Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser EV, and future models from Honda, Skoda, and Volkswagen.
