The best Audi models coming in 2025 and beyond – Carwow
August 19, 2025 by Jamie Edkins
Audi’s all-electric future is approaching, and the brand has committed to having an EV-only product range by 2033. But there’s a good amount of interesting cars coming before then. Here’s everything you can expect from Audi over the next few years
Audi had a busy year in 2024, bringing us the new A5, A6 e-tron, A6 Avant, RS3 and the new Q5 SUV. Things are showing no signs of slowing down in 2025 either, because there are a lot of new models to look forward to.
The new Audi A5 and S5 were both revealed last year to replace the old A4, but keen petrolheads amongst you may be wondering when we’ll see the full-fat RS5. Well it’s due to be revealed this year, and it’s almost certainly going to retain a V6 engine.
This is expected to be paired to a plug-in hybrid system to both boost power and reduce emissions. Exact power figures haven’t been confirmed just yet, but around 600hp seems likely.
The new RS5 Avant’s design has been previewed in these exclusive renders by the Carwow team, giving you a good idea of what this BMW M3 Touring alternative is likely to look like. It’ll have a much more aggressive-looking bodykit than the standard A5, and expect to see the traditional RS oval exhaust tips as well.
Audi’s popular small SUV has had a serious transformation for 2025. This BMW X1 alternative replaces one of the oldest cars in Audi’s stable with a brand-new model. It’s not an EV, so you get a choice of petrol, diesel or plug-in hybrid engines – the latter with an impressive 75 miles of EV range.
The styling is very much like a Q5-lite, with a wide grille, dramatic air intakes and customisable LED daytime running lights. The interior is an evolution of Audi’s latest design, and it gets a whole new set of steering column controls – with rotary dials for things like the wipers, and a wide sort of nubbin in place of a more traditional indicator stalk.
The Q3 goes on sale later in 2025, and we’ll be driving it very soon, so keep an eye out for our thoughts on this posh small SUV.
Earlier this year Audi revealed the new Audi A6 – not to be confused with the all-electric A6 e-tron. It’s available with a range of petrol and diesel engines, but where’s the sporty version? It’s coming, and the RS6 Avant is expected to borrow bits from Bentley.
Specifically, it’s likely to use the 4.0-litre V8 engine from the new Continental GT. That car has a plug-in hybrid system which gives it a total of 782hp and 1,000Nm of torque, plenty to give the new BMW M5 a fright.
The new RS6 Avant has been spotted testing a few times, and with some computer wizardry we’ve stripped back the camouflage to give you an idea of what it’ll look like. It’s got massive flared wheel arches and big air intakes, as well as a beefed-up bodykit to help it stand out.
So far Audi’s sole electric ‘RS’ model is the bespoke RS e-tron GT, but the iconic name will soon adorn a new version of the A6 e-tron. The new RS6 e-tron will come in Sportback and Avant configurations, the latter continuing a long line of Audi RS estate models.
Our exclusive render shows the sort of thing you can expect, with a more aggressive front grille, additional vents and aerodynamic tweaks, and bigger alloy wheels.
You can also expect serious performance – as much as 800hp and almost 1,000Nm of torque are possible courtesy of new motors and batteries which are shared with Porsche. That should give it enough shove to do 0-62mph in less than three seconds with ease – and of course, being an Audi performance model, it’ll have quattro all-wheel drive.
A full reveal of this car isn’t expected until at least 2026, and you can bet on a price tag which goes well into six figures.
